Goals

From the RCN Proposal:

  1. Advance aquatic science through a global network of sensored-lakes. Advance the modeling of key lake processes. Identify the data necessary to develop the models and articulate the data and metadata best practices to move these subfields forward.
  2. Better integrate aquatic science with technology. Develop the requirements for the next generation of information technologies informed by the ecological community. Engage and inform the members of the RCN of recently developed IM technologies, and link them to new science and modeling initiatives. Share outputs on requirements and best practices broadly with the community.
  3. Build a global community by involving researchers from international sites, across disciplines, at early career levels, and from underrepresented groups.
